Just in time, crisp and fresh
Our experienced logistics planning optimises delivery conditions for the trade: our trained workers harvest our iceberg lettuces by hand, and then pack them in the field. Once packed, they travel the short distance to our hall for vacuum cooling. Within 30 minutes, the hearts are cooled to 2 degrees Celsius, which keeps them fresh and increases their shelf life considerably.
After harvesting, broccoli is transported, unpacked, to the hall for refrigeration. The cooled produce is then sorted by weight in the hall and packed whilst still fresh.
The broccoli that is loaded onto delivery trucks for immediate dispatch is therefore of the very best quality. Consumers appreciate crispy lettuce and fresh vegetables, particularly when grown locally.
